On the 11th of October 2025, The CK Mensah Foundation organized a comprehensive community health outreach at Abuakwa market, as part of its ongoing commitment to improving the health and well being of Ghanaians through preventive care, education, and community engagement.
The event, themed “Love in action”, brought together residents from Abuakwa and neighboring communities for a day dedicated to wellness and awareness. The outreach offered free medical screening services for over 1,100 individuals, including 850 breast cancer screenings, blood pressure and sugar level checks, as well as the distribution of 1,000 aprons and other essential items to support community members in their daily activities.
Medical professionals from Kwadaso SDA Hospital and volunteers worked hand-in-hand to provide not only physical checkups but also health education and counseling on nutrition, hygiene, and early disease detection. Women, in particular, benefited from breast health education, where they were taught self-examination techniques and the importance of regular screening for early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
Beyond the medical aspect, the outreach served as an avenue for connection and compassion. Smiles, stories, and gratitude filled the atmosphere as the Foundation’s team engaged with community members, creating a sense of unity and shared purpose.
Speaking after the program, Mr. Mensah, Founder of the CK Mensah Foundation, expressed his appreciation to the medical team, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the outreach possible. He emphasized the Foundation’s vision to bring essential health services closer to underserved communities and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its impact across Ghana.
“Health should never be a privilege; it is a right every individual deserves. Through our outreaches, we aim to reach those who need care the most and inspire healthier, stronger communities,” Mr. Mensah stated.
